I've never been very much of a museums person and I'll usually lose interest in a museum by the 3rd or 4th room I walk into. That being said, I'd happily visit the Kunsthistoriches Museum a few more times till I've truly seen everything. The amount of gold plated baroque stuff is astounding. But I guess when you belong to the largest, most powerful family in Europe for centuries you tend to flaunt your wealth a bit. I wish I had taken more pictures to put here, but I didn't realize till after that photos were allowed. So I'll just leave these photos of awesome marble scepters and a decorative dragon bowl here

Edit:
After going back for a tour of the second floor with Gretl I'm even more astounded. Both at the amount of art in the museum and at Gretl's ability to remember so much about all of it.
I'm was particularly impressed by Vermeer's "The Art of Painting"piece after learning more about how he made it. His method of using a camera obscura technique to achieve his extreme level of detail blew my mind. If I hadn't known that I totally would have glossed over the painting without fully appreciating it. Now I'm kind of worried that I do that for most paintings.
The painting in question:
