The Music House

This was an unexpected find.

We found this museum by wandering in off the street and buying a ticket on a whim.

It was delightfully different than all the history museums we had been in. I think the best part was that The Music House had a lot of personality in its exhibits. There were individual rooms dedicated to various composers that were all themed differently.

Half of the museum was dedicated to the more scientific elements of sound and music in addition to the history of Viennese music.  I think this might have been the first "science" museum I've been to here.  It reminded me of the Tech Museum or the Children's Discovery Museum back in California.

Also, Beethoven's pet parrot...
